Fry’s Hohenort 15Km

On the third Saturday in January the Pinelands Athletic Club organises the Hohenort 15 kilometer road race. This race starts and finishes at the Alphen Community Hall, Constantia across the road from the False Bay Rugby Club.

The route is an undulating, tough run through the picturesque suburb of Constantia. The most difficult part of the run is at about 12 Km and then it is an easy downhill to the end.

McKenna & Scott Pinelands 10 km

The McKenna Scott Optometrists 10 km takes place the first weekend in August. This is a fast, flat route run mainly through the streets of Pinelands and surrounding areas. It is an ideal race to go for a PB. Walkers are most welcome.

6×6 Relay and Executive Relay

The club was forced to dropped the organisation of two other events: 6×6 relay and the Executive Relay, due to lack of sponsorship and interest in relay running.

The 6×6 relay was first held in 1954 and was regarded as the oldest inter-club relay in the Cape.
